Why “slice” a beach pebble?
As more and more beach pebbles are used in mosaic products, we began to notice the pebbles were not as rich and colorful as in previous years. This has led to the advent of slicing pebbles for mosaic products.
Sliced Pebble mosaics are made from natural beach pebbles cut into 1 cm (3/8”) sections. These sections are tumbled then placed within the mosaic. Bonded to a nylon scrim netting, this product is easy to install. The natural shape and outline of the pebbles together with richer in color and character make for a very nice mosaic products.
